Spring Qilin (B/BB)

We’re excited to announce another Qilin Tournament this spring! To help maintain a competitive and balanced environment, this event will enforce NAGVA ratings — with a maximum of 3 BB players allowed on the court at a time.

To help keep the tournament running smoothly, all teams will submit a $75 reffing deposit. The deposit will be fully refunded once the team completes their assigned reffing responsibilities during the event.
Early Bird: $300 per team (ends on 5/30/2026)
Regular: $360 per team

Only three "BB" rated players allowed on the court at once.
Team entry is only confirmed once payment is made and all players are registered on the Google Form. Be sure to include your team name in the payment notes.

If you are unrated, the tourney host has the power to uprate and DQ a player.
Respective team of uprated player will lose a set in pool or lose the match in playoffs.

Pool Play
Timed: 45 minute matches (include 5 minute shared warm-up)
Each Match consist of 2 sets
Each set to 25, start at 4,
Deuces is win by 2 but cap at 27
If there is a tie after match end time, 1 more point will be played to determine the set winner
Each team has two 30-second time-outs per set.
Tournament Play (Playoffs)
Single Elimination
Timed: 60 minute matches (include 5 minute shared warm-up)
Each match is best 2 out of 3
First two set to 25, start at 4,
Deuces is win by 2 but cap at 27
3rd set to 15 points, start at 0. Winner determined by team with more points at the end of 60 minute or to 15 points
Deuces is win by 2 but cap at 17
Each team has two 30-second time-outs per set

Q: Can I have a new sub if a player no shows/gets injured?
A: Yes, as long as they meet the tourney rules and restrictions.
Q: Can I borrow a sub from another team?
A: No, this is not allowed.
Q: Can I bring a sub into playoffs?
A: No, please make sure your roster has an appropriate amount of players to account for this.
